I’ve been trying to stick to a pattern of writing a book per year, but this year I haven’t been able to do that. I’m currently working on the next ‘Root within’ book, but I’m not completely satisfied with the content. I also feel my own level of expertise is lacking and I should work on filling the gaps of my Taiji quan knowledge. This takes a lot of time. I have made some great strides in understanding the nuances of the concept and how they apply to other martial arts, but there’s a long way to go.
I may release an herbal book or some other TCM related subject next year. My teacher said I should just write bullsh!t. “People love it”, he says. He’s not wrong either. However, TCM is a niche subject and one I find people don’t really want to read about. The Taiji quan book has been more popular, most likely because it’s more well-known and accepted.
Happy holidays and New year.
